SAME-LEVEL COMMUNICATION
If we allow ourselves the luxury of generalizing as we look at the shared photograph, setting ourselves to the same level as our interlocutor is something innate: we see how Tris bends down to convey a message at the same height as Gus so the dog understands it in the best possible way .
This is normal and usual. And that is why I think that, when some people consciously express themselves on another level, having more interest in speaking rather than in being understood, they do not cease to be human, but they do lose some of their humanity.
