Window to the Otways
Description:
There is a distinctive feature of the landscape in the window that reveals its origin: the presence of giant tree ferns, which give a prehistoric appearance to the Australian subtropical forests. The façade corresponds to the Prado Museum, the most important art gallery in Spain. With their abundance of species and fauna, the beauty of these forests causes a fascination for them that grows inside like the moss that covers the rocks of this stream.
Significance of the artwork:
This work symbolizes how much we need and the well-being that nature produces in us: sometimes one would like to open a window, jump inside and lose oneself in the leafy foliage of any wonderful natural landscape.
A couple of technical curiosities:
The window has been widened so that the landscape photo fits without changing its format. From the first to the last plane of the museum there are 4 photos for maximum sharpness from beginning to end.
