SOR Risas (the laughing nun)
The bird that shows the image is a Laughing Kookaburra. It receives this name given its particular singing, which resembles a person that cannot help laughing. When listening to them for first time, it is nearly impossible not to be surprised and smile. And their laughter is so contagious that they have brought a smile even to the sculpture of SOR Juana Inés de la Cruz.
Significance of the artwork:
This artwork shows that, regardless of our situation, we can always find a reason to smile a little.
Social commitment:
A portion of the profits from the sale of this artwork will be donated to a project to support people helping others. More information about this project will be available soon.
